Scope
This standard specifies eight qualitative identification methods for polyester fibers: combustion method, microscope method, dissolution method, coloring method, chlorine-containing nitrogen-containing color reaction method, melting point method, infrared spectroscopy, and Raman spectroscopy. This standard is applicable to the qualitative identification of polylactic acid, polytrimethylene terephthalate, and polybutylene terephthalate.
