Scope

This standard specifies the relevant special terms, test items and test methods for sulfur hexafluoride gas seals of high-voltage switchgear. The test methods specified in this standard are used to determine the relative annual air leakage rate of equipment/compartments. This standard applies to the gas sealing test of high-voltage switchgear using sulfur hexafluoride gas as the arc extinguishing and insulating medium.
