This part of ISO 10675 specifies radiographic inspection acceptability limits for indicating irregularities of butt welds in aluminum and its alloys. If agreed, the acceptance limits may be applied to other types of welds or other materials. The acceptance limits can refer to welding standards, application standards, specifications or codes. This part of ISO 10675 assumes that the radiographic test was carried out in accordance with ISO 17636. When examining whether a weld meets the requirements of a weld assessment group, the sizes of irregularities allowed by the standards are compared with the dimensions of the indicators found on the radiograph taken of the weld.
