Scope
The maintenance of metalworking fluids has the objective to largely preserve the properties of metalworking fluids during their use in machining and metal forming processes by the means of appropriate measures. Based on this objective, the standard describes the components of metalworking fluid systems and the most important cleaning systems. The standard contains extensive information and recommmendations to determine the performance characteristics and for monitoring the used coolants. The implementation of the maintenance measures presented in the standard extends the product lifetime, which directly reduces production costs and increases the process rel
