Scope

This part specifies the waterproof test conditions and test methods for airborne equipment of civil aircraft. This section applies to airborne equipment that can be affected by condensation, dripping water, rain and water spray. This section does not apply to the inspection of airtight sealing equipment (permanently sealed and airtight).
