Scope

This standard specifies the gas chromatography-mass spectrometry method for the determination of nine polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons such as naphthalene in cosmetics. This standard is applicable to the determination and confirmation of 9 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (see Table 1) such as naphthalene in lotions, pastes, creams, powders, and water cosmetics.
