- This part of SN/T 3896 specifies a method for rapid determination of the fiber content of a mixture of polyester fiber and cotton by near-infrared spectroscopy, and provides requirements for instruments and equipment, samples and Environmental requirements, determination procedures, result processing, suspected sample confirmation and processing, and test reporting requirements. This section is applicable to the rapid determination of fiber content of polyester fiber and cotton mixtures other than coated fabrics and fleece fabrics.
