- This standard specifies the technical requirements for quarantine irradiation treatment of the new pineapple gray mealybug (Dysmicoccus neobrevipes Beardsley) found in imported bananas. The purpose of the treatment is to prevent the normal development of the new pineapple gray mealybug (Dysmicoccus neobrevipes Beardsley) or cause its F generation to be sterile. This standard applies to quarantine irradiation treatment for new pineapple mealybugs found in imported bananas.
