Scope

This standard specifies the test conditions and methods for smoldering porous elastic materials of furniture using smoldering cigarettes as the ignition source to determine the percentage of weight loss during combustion. This standard is applicable to the determination of the burning weight loss of bulk porous elastic materials in furniture, such as sponges, EVA foam and other materials.
