This standard specifies the method for the determination of phytic acid in imported and exported foods using ion exchange separation and spectrophotometry. This standard is applicable to the determination of phytic acid in foods such as shrimp, ham, barbecue, juice, candy, milk powder, canned fruits, etc. The detection limit of this method is 20 mg/kg.
