This International Standard specifies a standard method for determining the drawability (cupping ability) of metallic sheets and strips having a thickness of 0.1 mm to 2 mm and a width of 90 mm or more. For thicker materials and when only narrower strips are available, tools with specified dimensions must be provided, in which case indices must be added to the Erichsen cupping value, as shown in Table 1.
