This International Standard specifies a method for the determination of dissolved bromate in water (e.g. drinking water, mineral water, raw water, surface water, partially treated water or bathing water). Suitable sample pretreatment (e.g. dilution) allows the determination of bromate concentrations >= 0.5 µg/l. The working area is limited by the capacity of the separation column. Sample dilution into the work area may be necessary.
