EN ISO 11816-1:2013 Milk and milk products - Determination of alkaline phosphatase activity - Part 1: Fluorimetric method for milk and milk-based drinks
This part of ISO 11816 / IDF 155 specifies a fluorimetric method for the determination of alkaline phosphatase (ALP, EC 3.) activity in raw and pasteurized whole milk, low-fat milk, skimmed milk and flavored milk. This process is applicable to milk and liquid dairy products from cows, sheep and goats. It is also applicable to milk powder after reconstitution. The device can read activities of up to 7000 milliunits per liter (mU/l). If the activity is greater than 7000 mU/l, dilute with milk free of alkaline phosphatase (7.1) to obtain a result less than 7000 mU/l.
