Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, pretreatment and cutting, installation, leak detection and disassembly, operation and maintenance, and performance evaluation related to the electrolytic application of perfluorinated ion exchange membranes for chlor-alkali industry (hereinafter referred to as chlor-alkali ion exchange membranes). This standard is applicable to the application specifications of perfluorinated ion exchange membranes in the process of producing sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide by chlor-alkali ion membrane method.
