- This standard specifies the terms and definitions of the Taber wear-resis ant testing machine method for shoe materials [also known as: Rotating Platform Double-Headed Abrasion Testing Machine (RPDH Testing Machine)], testing principles, instruments and equipment, specimens and sample adjustments, and grinding wheels used for testing. Selection, test procedures, presentation of results and test reporting. This standard is suitable for testing the wear resis ance of natural leather, artificial leather, synthetic leather, coated fabrics, film-transfer leather, textiles and other shoe materials.
