Scope: This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for marine transformers (hereinafter referred to as transformers). This standard is suitable for installation on ships with voltages of 10 kV and below, frequencies of 50 Hz and 60 Hz, single-phase capacities of 0.5 kVA to 100 kVA and three-phase capacities of 6300 kVA and below, and winding insulation grades of Class B and F. Design, manufacture and acceptance of Class H and Class H dry-type transformers.
