Scope

This part of JB/T 9672 specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, etc. for porcelain-jacketed and composite-jacketed DC series gap metal oxide surge arresters (hereinafter referred to as arresters) with a rated voltage of 4 kV and below. This section applies to arresters that protect DC traction motors and DC electrical equipment from overvoltage damage in DC power supply systems of 3 kV and below.
