Scope: This part of GB/T 7690 specifies the method for measuring the twist of glass fiber, carbon fiber, aramid fiber or other reinforcing fiber yarn. This method is applicable to single yarn (one twist), plied yarn or cable (two or more twists). For plied yarns and cables, this method is generally only applicable to the determination of the final twist. This method is suitable for winding yarn. If the sample is beam yarn (warp yarn) or yarn drawn from the fabric, the test results are for status indication only. This method is not applicable to staple fiber products.
