Scope: This part of GB/T 7689 specifies the method for measuring the thickness of woven fabrics of reinforcing materials. This method is applicable to woven fabrics with a thickness greater than or equal to 0.01 mm woven from single yarns, double-twisted (plied) yarns (continuous or fixed length), rovings, textured yarns or their composites. This method can also be used to determine the compressibility of woven fabrics made of staple or textured yarns, including fabrics consisting only of warp or weft yarns of these yarns.
