Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificate and contract (or order form) of antimony trioxide (commonly known as antimony white). This standard applies to antimony trioxide produced from antimony concentrates. Antimony trioxide is mainly used as a flame retardant synergist in plastics, resins, rubber, textiles, paints and other combustibles as a flame retardant synergist and as a catalyst for petrochemicals and synthetic fibers. Antimony trioxide products are widely used in automobiles, home appliances, computers, electric power, electrical appliances, communications, petrochemicals, machinery manufacturing, aerospace and military industries and other sectors.
