- This standard specifies a method for the determination of maltose, sucrose, glucose, and fructose in tobacco and tobacco products by high-performance liquid chromatography evaporative light scattering. This standard is applicable to the determination of maltose, sucrose, glucose and fructose in tobacco and tobacco products. The detection limits of this method for determining the maltose, sucrose, glucose and fructose contents in tobacco and tobacco products are 0.018%, 0.012%, 0.015% and 0.021% respectively, and the quantitation limits are 0.057%, 0.042%, 0.048% and 0.069% respectively.
