Scope

This part of GB 15579 specifies the safety requirements and performance requirements for arc welding power sources and plasma cutting systems. This standard applies to power supplies for arc welding and similar processes, intended for industrial and professional use, supplied by voltages not exceeding those specified in Table 1 of IEC 60038, or driven by mechanical equipment. This section does not apply mainly to non-professional use limit load manual arc welding power supply. This section does not apply to the detection of welding power sources that are in the maintenance cycle or after repairs.
