- This standard specifies a method for the determination of the total migration amount of a surface of sheet-like and film-like plastics in olive oil at a temperature above 20°C and below 100°C (excluding 100°C) and within a selected time. This standard is most applicable to film and sheet plastics. It is also particularly applicable to materials consisting of multiple layers or surfaces with different migration characteristics. Surfaces intended to come into contact with food should be tested for food simulant migration. . This standard applies to most types of plastics.
