This part specifies the principles, reagents, instruments, equipment, sample processing, analysis steps and result calculations for the determination of nickel content in waste chemicals using graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrophotometry. This section is suitable for the determination of nickel content in electroplating waste liquid, waste water (liquid), chemical waste residue, paint residue and other waste chemicals; it can also be used for the determination of nickel content in soil or sludge. The nickel content in the tested liquid is 0.5 μg/L~50 μg/L.
