Scope

This standard specifies the method for the determination of hexachlorophene in cosmetics by high performance liquid chromatography. This standard is applicable to the determination of hexachlorophene in cream, water, loose powder and shampoo cosmetics. The limit of detection for hexachlorophene in this standard is 10 mg/kg, and the limit of quantification is 20 mg/kg.
