Scope
This part of GB/T 19277 specifies a test method for determining the ultimate aerobic biodegradability of materials by measuring the amount of carbon dioxide emitted under controlled composting conditions. This method achieves the best biodegradation rate by adjusting the conditions such as humidity, aerobic concentration and temperature in the composting container. This section applies to the following materials: -- natural and/or synthetic polymers, copolymers and their mixtures; -- plastics containing additives such as plasticizers, pigments, etc.; -- water-soluble polymers; Materials that do not inhibit the activity of microorganisms in the inoculum under certain conditions. If the test material has an inhibitory effect on the microorganisms in the inoculum, other types of decomposed compost or pre-exposed compost can be used.
