Scope

This procedure is applicable to the initial calibration, subsequent calibration and in-use inspection of low-background α and β measuring instruments using solid scintillation detectors and semiconductor detectors. It is not applicable to the calibration of gas flow proportional counters, liquid scintillation counters and other types of measuring instruments.
