This standard specifies the procedures for the discovery, on-site control and investigation, result determination, disposal and reporting of suspected white powder harmful biological agents entering the country at border ports. This standard applies to the investigation and disposal of suspicious white powder found by entry-exit inspection and quarantine agencies at border ports on incoming passengers’ belongings, vehicles, containers, cargo, and postal parcels. This standard can also be applied to the investigation and disposal of other powdery harmful biological agents found at ports of entry.
