Scope

This standard specifies the liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry method for the determination of the contents of three hexabromocyclododecane isomers (alpha-HBCD, beta-HBCD and gamma-HBCD) in food. This standard is applicable to the determination and confirmation of alpha-HBCD, beta-HBCD and gamma-HBCD content in fish, shrimp, eggs and other foods.
