- This standard specifies the naming method and storage format for archived files of commercial aircraft meteorological observation data. This standard applies to the archiving and management of various meteorological elements in commercial aircraft meteorological observation reports. This standard does not apply to the archiving and management of data obtained from other types of aircraft observations such as artificial weather modification.
