This standard specifies the spectrophotometric method for the determination of the total sugar (measured as glucose) content in red ginseng. This standard is applicable to the determination of total sugar content in red ginseng. The linear range of this standard method is 0.012 mg~1.8 mg. The limit of quantification of this standard method is 1.2%.
