- This standard specifies the detection methods for tin in canned foods. This standard is applicable to the determination of tin in imported and exported canned foods. The detection limit of this method is: 0.5 mg/kg for graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry; 0.5 mg/kg for inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry.
