- This part of SN/T 0801 specifies the detection methods for moisture and volatile matter in imported and exported animal and vegetable oils and fats. This section is applicable to the determination of moisture and volatile matter in imported and exported animal and vegetable oils and fats. The vacuum oven method in this section is applicable to animal and vegetable oils except coconut oil with free fatty acids higher than 1%. The oven method in this section is applicable to animal oils and non-drying vegetable oils with an iodine value less than 100. Not suitable for: dry vegetable oils with an iodine value greater than 130, such as linseed oil, sunflower oil, tung oil, etc.; coconut oil.
