Scope

This standard specifies the method for the determination of arsenic, lead, mercury, and cadmium in imported and exported foods using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (hereinafter referred to as ICP-MS). This standard is applicable to the determination of arsenic, lead, mercury and cadmium content in imported and exported foods (excluding food additives).
