Scope

This International Standard specifies a method for determining the elongation of the steel cables in the carcass of a conveyor belt subjecting them to a force equal to 10% and 60% of the specified cable breaking force. It is used exclusively for steel rope belts. NOTE A method for determining tensile strength is specified in ISO 7622-2.
