Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions of solid wood furniture glue joints, test equipment and measuring instruments for shear strength determination, test pieces, as well as test methods and test results. This standard is applicable to the determination of the along-grain and transverse-grain shear strength of glued joints between solid wood in furniture and other wood products.
