Scope

This standard specifies the design criteria, design methods, installation requirements and testing for sacrificial anode cathodic protection on sea-going ships. This standard applies to the design and installation of sacrificial anode cathodic protection for steel seagoing ships immersed in seawater, such as hulls, appendages and ballast water tanks.
