Scope: This standard specifies the classification and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation and storage of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fibers. This standard applies to ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fibers with a linear density ranging from 55 dtex to 6650 dtex. Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fibers with a linear density lower than 55 dtex or higher than 6650 dtex can be used as a reference.
