This International Standard specifies general performance requirements for the ergonomics, safety, sizing, aging, compatibility and labeling of protective clothing and the information to be provided by the manufacturer with the protective clothing. This International Standard is intended to be used only in combination with other standards containing requirements for specific protection performance and not on its own.
