Scope
Personnel using this part of SN/T 3315 should have practical experience in formal laboratory work. This section does not identify all possible safety issues. It is the user's responsibility to take appropriate safety and health measures and ensure compliance with relevant national regulations. Scope: This part of SN/T 3315 specifies the use of sodium hydroxide/thiourea/urea method for the determination of viscose fiber, regenerated bamboo fiber, modal fiber, cupro fiber, Lisey fiber, and Newdale fiber after removing non-fiber substances. Methods for quantitative fiber analysis of fiber, hemp fiber and cotton fiber mixtures. If there are regenerated cellulose fibers other than viscose fiber and regenerated bamboo fiber in the sample, it should be tested in advance whether it is soluble in the reagent. The method in this section is applicable to blended products of regenerated cellulose fiber and cotton. This section does not apply if the cotton fibers in the mixture have been severely chemically degraded, nor does it apply if the viscose, modal, cupro, Lisel, Newdale or hemp fibers contain fibers that cannot be completely removed. Durable finishing agents or reactive dyes that prevent them from completely dissolving.
