Scope
This standard specifies the methods for measuring the size of artificial defects on comparative samples for ultrasonic, eddy current and magnetic flux leakage testing of steel pipes, the replication and size measurement of artificial grooves, the measurement of the size of artificial through holes, the determination of artificial defect measurement results and the measurement report. This standard is applicable to the artificial grooves in the inner and outer walls of comparison samples for ultrasonic, eddy current and magnetic flux leakage testing of steel pipes, the measurement of through hole dimensions of comparison samples for eddy current testing of steel pipes, and similar artificial defects (such as delamination defects) in other comparison samples. etc.) dimensions can also be measured by referring to this method.
