Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for loadable software parts (LSPs) and loadable software transmission media (media sets) for civil aircraft, including the part number, content, labeling and format of the LSP and the media set containing the LSP. This standard applies to civil aircraft systems, equipment, line replaceable units (LRU) and line replaceable modules (LRM) loadable software and software transmission media.
