The strong acid used in this standard is corrosive, so inhalation or skin contact should be avoided when using it. If it splashes on your body, wash it immediately with plenty of water. If serious, seek medical advice immediately. This standard specifies the method for determination of calcium and magnesium content in recycled water - atomic absorption spectrometry. This standard is applicable to the determination of calcium content in recycled water ranging from 0.5mg/L to 25mg/L and magnesium content in the range of 0.1mg/L to 5mg/L. For recycled water samples with high calcium and magnesium content, they can be measured after dilution.
