- This standard specifies the test methods for the alkali resistance of cast iron enamel products and the grading of the results. This standard is applicable to the alkali resistance test of cast iron enamel burners and containers that come into contact with food. This standard does not apply to the alkali resistance testing of cast iron enamel sanitary ware products, cast iron enamel products used in the chemical industry and other special purposes.
