Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, symbols and abbreviations, test conditions, test procedures, measurement steps, records and reports for the test method of measuring the wear of automobile driving drum brake linings and disc brake pads using an inertia test bench. This standard does not apply to special vehicles and motorcycles. Trailers with a nominal gross weight exceeding 40t are also not applicable.
