- This standard specifies the spectrophotometric method for the determination of chlorophyll in water. This standard applies to the determination of chlorophyll in surface water. When the water sample volume is 300mL and a 1cm cuvette is used, the detection limit of chlorophyll a is 0.11μg/L and the lower detection limit is 0.5μg/L; the detection limit of chlorophyll b is 0.25μg/L and the lower detection limit is 1.0 μg/L; the detection limit of chlorophyll c is 0.25 μg/L, and the lower limit of determination is 1.0 μg/L.
