Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, principles, reagents and materials, instruments and equipment, operating procedures, calculation and presentation of results for the determination of fatty acid values in grains and products by photometric titrator and smart potentiometric titrator. The photometric titrator method of this standard is applicable to the determination of the fatty acid value of paddy, brown rice, and rice, and the smart potentiometric titrator method is applicable to the determination of the fatty acid value of corn, paddy, brown rice, rice, and wheat flour.
