Scope: This standard specifies the terminology and model naming principles, surface requirements, assembly requirements, external dimension requirements, performance requirements, strength requirements, flame retardancy, climate, power and control system requirements and corresponding test methods and inspection rules for electric wheelchairs. Requirements for document information release, marking and packaging of wheelchairs. This standard applies to all kinds of electric wheelchairs (including electric scooters) driven by electric energy used by the disabled or the elderly who only carry one person and whose user mass does not exceed 100kg, that is, the following according to GB/T 16432 classification Electric wheelchairs: electric wheelchairs with manual steering (such as electric scooters); electric wheelchairs with power steering. This standard does not apply to manual wheelchairs powered by electric power.
