Scope: This standard specifies the technical requirements, statistical scope and calculation method, energy-saving management and measures for the limit of energy consumption per unit product (referred to as energy consumption) for the production of glass fiber yarn and glass spheres. This standard is applicable to the energy consumption calculation and assessment of the production enterprises of medium-alkali or non-alkali glass spheres and the production enterprises of E glass, ECR glass and medium-alkali glass fiber by the pool kiln method or crucible method, as well as the energy consumption control of new projects. This standard does not apply to manufacturers of special glass fibers such as high-strength glass fibers, high-silica glass fibers, and alkali-resistant glass fibers.
