Scope
This part of GB/T 16840 specifies the terms and definitions, principles, instruments and equipment, sample preparation, observation sites and criteria of the scanning electron microscope (SEM) microscopic morphology analysis method in the technical identification methods of electrical fire traces. It is suitable for the application of SEM in the fire investigation to analyze the microscopic morphology of the metal melting marks at the fire scene, and to identify the melting properties of the melting marks according to the microscopic morphology of the melting marks.
